History of Fashion and Luxury
Paris, Capital of Fashion and Luxury
Paris is a fascination and a dream to anyone sensitive to fashion and luxury. It’s the ultimate destination when it comes to these two matters. But why Paris has forged such a reputation?
Fashion and luxury having become democratized during the second half of the twentieth century, we often tend to think that they were born at that time. But it goes back to the reign of Louis XIV (17th century) when the king created the manufacturer of silversmith and tapestries. The people of the court had to wear the most beautiful outfits to be part of it.
During that tour, discover the origins of the quarter of luxury, the location of the first jewelry stores and couture houses, to the development of the prestigious Parisian department stores we know today.

I organized this visit for the bachelorette party of a girlfriend who loves fashion. We explores many places from Place Vendôme to rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré and Caroline taught us a lot about the major French brands. The future bride was delighted and her witnesses too!
